Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026 · Explains how information is handled across our website, customer app, provider app, and support channels. Customer and provider notices add details for each role.
Who this policy covers and who handles your information
This policy applies to visitors, customer app users, shop partners, people whose details are entered for walk-in or manual orders, support contacts, and website applicants. Perfect Stitch, we, us, and our refer to the operator of the Perfect Stitch platform. Personal data means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
Perfect Stitch is responsible for the personal data it handles to operate the platform. Independent shops also handle customer information for their own garment services and necessary business records. Payment providers, app stores, and identity or device-service providers may handle information under their own privacy notices. The role-specific notices linked below supplement this policy.
Our privacy contact is partner@perfectstitch.online. Use this address for questions about our practices, requests involving a manual order, or help exercising your rights. If your concern involves a shop's independent records, we can help identify the relevant shop, but the shop remains responsible for its own lawful handling of those records.
Personal information we collect
Account and identity information: your name, phone number, email address, account identifier, role, profile photo if provided, sign-in or verification status, contact preferences, language, and consent choices. We process the details needed for the sign-in method you choose and to match an account or order to the correct person.
Order and garment information: the selected shop and services, item counts, fabric and care notes, tailoring measurements, fit preferences, reference or intake photos you choose to upload, pickup and delivery addresses, scheduling details, order status, invoices, chat messages, support requests, and reviews. Measurements and photos are used for the requested garment service and should not contain unrelated personal information.
Payment and shop information: amounts, payment method, transaction or refund references, payment status, and settlement records. For providers, this may include business and contact details, shop location, service area, prices, storefront photos, verification information requested during onboarding, UPI details, and bank or payout information needed for enabled payment features.
Technical information: depending on the feature and service used, app and operating-system version, device or installation identifiers, notification tokens, network information such as IP address, request timestamps, error reports, crash diagnostics, and limited usage events. Optional location information is described separately below. Technical logs can contain account or order references needed to investigate a fault.
Website and correspondence information: details you provide through contact forms, support messages, or a job application. An application can include contact details, country, work preferences, employment and education history, a résumé, portfolio, links, an optional photo, and your note. Do not submit government identity documents, financial credentials, or other sensitive material unless specifically requested for a legitimate purpose.
Where information comes from
You provide information when you register, update a profile, place an order, enter measurements, send a message, choose a file, submit a review, contact support, or apply for a role. You can leave optional fields blank, although some core features need particular details, such as an address for pickup or a verified phone number for order matching.
Providers may enter information about walk-in customers, garments, measurements, and payments, including before a customer joins Perfect Stitch. Other order participants may supply handover or service updates. We may link a manual order to a customer account through the available verification and approval flow. Providers must have permission or another lawful basis for the information they enter.
Sign-in services provide the account details authorized through their authentication flow. Payment providers return transaction status and references, and infrastructure services generate technical or delivery logs. Your device supplies information needed for features you authorize, such as location, selected photos, or dictation. We do not need access to your entire photo library to process the images you select.
Why we use your information
To create and secure accounts, verify identity or phone ownership, remember preferences, display relevant shop information, and provide the features you request. Address and location details help identify a service area or coordinate a selected pickup; measurements, instructions, and photos help the shop understand and carry out garment work.
To manage bookings, manual orders, progress updates, customer-provider communication, invoices, payment reconciliation, refunds, provider payouts where enabled, and support. We use order and communication records to investigate missing garments, disputed instructions, incorrect charges, and other service issues.
To detect unauthorized access, prevent fraud and referral abuse, enforce service rules, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and meet legal or accounting obligations. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand service performance, taking care that the resulting information does not reasonably identify an individual.
To respond to website enquiries, assess job applications, and send necessary service communications. Promotional messages and optional uses are handled according to your choices and the consent requirements that apply. We do not treat submitting a job application or asking a support question as permission to send unrelated advertising.
Consent, necessary processing, and lawful grounds
We process personal data for the stated purposes using a lawful ground available under the law that applies to the activity. Depending on that law and context, this can include your consent, steps needed to provide a service you request, compliance with a legal obligation, and other uses specifically permitted by law. A contractual need is not a substitute for consent where the law requires consent.
Where processing is optional or requires consent, we explain the relevant use and seek permission through the appropriate form, app setting, or device prompt. You can withdraw that consent for future processing. Withdrawing permission for one optional feature does not by itself prevent use of unrelated features, but a function that needs the information may no longer work.
Withdrawal does not undo lawful processing already carried out or require us to erase records we must retain for another lawful reason. We will explain any relevant service impact or retention exception when handling your request. An operating-system permission lets the app access a device feature; it does not authorize every possible use of the resulting data.
Location, camera, photos, microphone, and device permissions
Location: when you choose a location-based feature and grant permission, the app may use approximate or precise location to find nearby shops, help fill an address, or set a shop location. Precision depends on your device settings. These features do not require continuous background location tracking. You can enter an address or shop location manually where that option is available.
Camera and photos: camera access supports photos you choose to take for a chat, order, or garment-intake record. The system photo picker lets you select specific images for a reference, shop profile, or QR code without granting general photo-library access. Only the material you choose to attach or submit is used for that feature; it may become visible to the relevant order participants.
Microphone: the provider app can use device speech recognition when you start measurement dictation. Perfect Stitch uses the recognized text for the fields you enter and does not intentionally store raw dictation audio as an order attachment. The device's speech-recognition provider may process audio, including on its servers, under its own policy. You can use typed entry instead.
Notifications and local unlock: notification permission allows order and message alerts, and a notification token helps route them to your device. Notification previews may be visible on a lock screen according to your settings. Where biometric app unlock is available, the device performs the biometric check; Perfect Stitch does not receive your fingerprint or face template from that check.
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings and adjust lock-screen previews. The app may explain why a permission is needed or direct you to settings when access has been denied. Revoking a permission stops future access through that permission; it does not automatically remove a photo, address, or other information you previously submitted. Contact us if you also want that stored information reviewed or deleted.
Payment information and financial credentials
For cash and direct shop UPI payments, the provider records the amount, method, and payment status, and may enter a transaction reference. A direct transfer is handled by your UPI app and bank, and the shop receives the payment. Perfect Stitch does not automatically receive your bank account's full transaction history or hold these payments in escrow.
Where online checkout or platform payouts are enabled, a processor such as Razorpay or its payout services receives the information needed to process, verify, refund, or settle a transaction. Perfect Stitch receives relevant status, references, and reconciliation information. Provider UPI or bank details may be shared with the payout processor for the transfer and required verification.
Payment authorization credentials, such as your UPI PIN, card security code, or bank password, should be entered only in the appropriate bank or processor interface. They are not required for an order chat or support request and should not be sent to us or a shop. Share only the transaction reference and a suitably redacted receipt when asking for payment help.
Who can receive your information
Order participants: the selected or assigned shop receives the order details needed to fulfill the service, such as garment instructions, relevant measurements and photos, and the address for an agreed pickup or delivery. Customers receive relevant shop, order, and payment information. Phone visibility and contact preferences apply to details disclosed through the app; they do not erase contact details a shop already obtained directly.
Service vendors and authorized teams: hosting, database, authentication, notification, diagnostics, email, address-lookup, and payment services process information needed for their functions. Authorized Perfect Stitch support or operations staff may access relevant records to manage the platform, verify an issue, or respond to a complaint. We limit access according to the purpose and applicable access controls.
Legal and protection needs: we may disclose relevant information in response to a valid legal requirement, to establish or defend legal claims, or to investigate fraud, security incidents, or a serious safety issue. Any disclosure should be limited to what is necessary and lawful. If the business is transferred or reorganized, any transfer of personal data must follow applicable law and appropriate notice requirements.
We do not sell your personal data or provide private order measurements, addresses, or chats to other shops for their unrelated marketing. Public information you choose to publish is described below. If an optional feature requires a new recipient or a materially different use, the relevant notice and any required consent will be provided before that use.
Google, Firebase, and other service providers
Our apps use Google Firebase services for functions such as authentication, Firestore data storage, file storage, cloud functions, push notifications, and crash diagnostics. Supported features may also use Google Sign-In, Google Play services, and Google Maps or Places. The website uses hosting and email infrastructure to serve pages and deliver enquiries or applications.
These providers may process service identifiers, network and device information, account details, or submitted content according to the function they perform and their applicable privacy notices. A third-party sign-in, map, speech-recognition, or payment interface can involve processing outside Perfect Stitch's direct control. Review those providers' notices when using their services.
Perfect Stitch remains responsible for its own data-handling choices, app logic, security configuration, and obligations under applicable law. We do not disclaim all responsibility for an incident simply because Google or another vendor was involved. If you suspect a platform-related privacy issue, contact us so we can investigate and coordinate with the relevant provider.
Public shop profiles, reviews, and private content
Shop names, storefront photos, business location, service area, available services, prices, working hours, and information a provider publishes as part of its listing may be visible to customers and website visitors. Do not put a private home address or personal contact detail into a public shop field unless you intend it to be published and are entitled to share it.
Reviews and testimonials may display the submitted review text, rating, and associated display name on the relevant service surface. Material selected for the public website is a separate public presentation. Before submitting public content, remove unnecessary personal information about yourself or another person. Contact us if you need a published review or testimonial reviewed for a privacy concern.
Order chat, measurements, reference photos, and private support messages are intended for the relevant participants and authorized service teams, rather than public display. Content shared with another participant can be saved or copied by that person. Avoid sharing identity documents, unrelated medical details, payment credentials, or information that is not needed for the garment service.
Service messages, marketing, and contact controls
We may send account verification, security, order, payment, refund, and support messages through the channels supported by the service. These messages are necessary to administer the relationship or respond to you. Turning off push notifications may stop device alerts, but does not necessarily stop all service emails or other essential communications.
Promotional communication is subject to your preferences and any consent required by law. You can use the opt-out supplied with a message or contact us to withdraw marketing permission. We do not require marketing consent as a condition for processing an ordinary order, and a marketing opt-out does not automatically close your account.
Customer contact controls can limit phone visibility and preferred contact methods in the app. A provider may still have information you gave during an earlier walk-in interaction, and essential service information remains part of an active order. If a shop uses your details for unwanted unrelated contact, tell the shop and report the issue to Perfect Stitch support.
Cookies, local storage, and offline records
The website and apps can store information needed for sign-in, preferences, security, and reliable operation, using cookies, browser storage, or app storage as appropriate. Website hosts also process request and access logs. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is introduced, we will explain its use and obtain consent where required rather than treating this policy as blanket permission.
The customer app can keep cached information, recently viewed shops, and search history on your device. Provider tools keep local customer, measurement, and order records to support offline use and sync them to the backend when connected. A record on one device may not yet reflect updates made elsewhere while sync is pending.
You can manage browser cookies and storage through browser settings, and use available app privacy controls or device settings for local data. Clearing local data, uninstalling the app, or blocking a cookie does not delete information already synced to our systems or independently retained by a shop. Clearing provider app data before pending updates sync can also remove locally unsynced work.
How long information is kept
We keep account and operational information for as long as it is needed for the stated purpose. Retention depends on whether an account is active, an order is ongoing, a refund or complaint is unresolved, and whether a legal, accounting, or security requirement applies. Different categories have different needs; this policy does not promise one fixed retention period for all records.
Order histories, invoices, payment and payout references, relevant communications, and order-scoped photos may need to remain after account closure to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or meet legal record-keeping duties. Limited account-deletion markers or phone-registry records may be retained to prevent repeat reward abuse and preserve a necessary audit trail. Retained information is still subject to applicable privacy obligations.
Support correspondence is kept as needed to address the issue and related follow-up. Recruitment material is used to assess the application and manage relevant recruitment records; contact us if you want it removed or do not want to be considered for a future role. Diagnostic logs and backups may remain until their normal expiry or replacement, subject to any necessary legal hold.
When a retention purpose ends and no applicable obligation requires the data, it should be deleted or de-identified. You may ask us which categories remain for your account, why they are needed, and the applicable retention criteria or period. We do not promise immediate erasure of every historical transaction or a shop's independent records when you close a platform account.
Access, correction, consent withdrawal, and other rights
You can update available account, shop, address, and preference fields in the app. Contact us to request access to personal data associated with you, an explanation of its use or sharing, correction of an inaccurate record, or deletion where applicable. People whose details appear only in a manual order can also contact us without first creating an account.
You can withdraw consent for optional processing, change device permissions, and opt out of marketing. Where the law applicable to your data provides additional rights, such as restriction, objection, portability, or nomination of another person to act for you, you may request those rights too. We assess each request against the law that applies rather than assuming every right applies in every jurisdiction.
We may need proportionate verification to prevent another person from accessing or deleting your information. Send your registered contact detail, relevant account or order reference, and a description of the request; do not send a password, sign-in code, UPI PIN, or a full identity document in an initial email. An authorized representative may need to show authority to act.
We will respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements and explain any lawful limitation, such as another person's privacy, an ongoing dispute, or a required transaction record. If the request is complex or further verification is needed, we will explain the next step. You may raise a complaint through the contact process below if you disagree with the response.
Requesting account closure or data deletion
Use the account-deletion option in the app where available, or email partner@perfectstitch.online with the subject 'Account deletion' or 'Data deletion'. Include your registered phone number or email, whether you are a customer or provider, and any relevant order reference. The email route is also available if you cannot sign in or do not have a Perfect Stitch account.
Deletion can remove sign-in access, profile information, notification registrations, and eligible account-linked records or uploads. Some records may instead be unlinked or de-identified. The exact action depends on the category, the app feature available, and any lawful retention requirement. Resolve or make arrangements for outstanding garment orders and payments, and retain receipts you may need later.
Orders, invoices, payment references, relevant order photos or messages, fraud-prevention markers, and other legally necessary evidence may remain as described in the retention section. Removing a platform account does not automatically delete a shop's independently collected customer records or another participant's copy of a conversation. Ask us if you need help directing a request to that shop or another relevant organization.
We may require account ownership verification and will explain any records that cannot yet be removed and the reason. Clearing the app or uninstalling it is not an account-deletion request. If an in-app request fails, or you believe information remains beyond a legitimate purpose, use the email contact so the request can be reviewed.
Security and responding to a privacy incident
We use safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted network connections, authenticated access, access-control rules, and device-level or local-data protections where supported. Security also depends on correct configuration, software updates, vendor practices, and how users secure their own devices. No internet service can guarantee that every incident will be prevented.
Keep your device and app updated, protect sign-in details and local PINs, and avoid sharing account access. Providers should restrict staff access and secure devices containing offline customer records. Notification previews, screenshots, files you export, and information voluntarily shared outside the app may have separate exposure risks.
Report suspected unauthorized access or exposure to partner@perfectstitch.online, using the subject 'Privacy or security incident'. Describe what happened without forwarding another person's sensitive information unnecessarily. We will investigate relevant platform incidents, take appropriate steps, and provide notices to affected people or authorities where required by applicable law.
Children and information about family members
Perfect Stitch accounts and transactions are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not intend to collect personal data directly from children through a child account or target them with advertising. If you believe a child has registered or submitted information without appropriate authority, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
An adult may arrange clothing services for a child or another family member. Provide only the measurements and other details necessary for the service, ensure you have authority to provide them, and obtain any consent required by law. Avoid including a child's face, school, personal contact details, or unrelated information in a garment-reference photo.
Storage locations and international processing
The service primarily operates in India, but hosting, authentication, diagnostics, email, and other providers may store or process information in India or other countries according to their infrastructure and service arrangements. The location of a particular backend function does not mean every log, backup, or third-party service is processed only in that country.
Where a transfer of personal data is restricted or requires safeguards under applicable law, the transfer must meet those requirements. We use appropriate service arrangements and safeguards for the relevant processing and can respond to questions about the providers or locations involved. We do not rely on use of the website as blanket consent to an otherwise prohibited transfer.
Changes to this policy and new features
We may update this policy when practices, service features, vendors, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel, and we will request new consent where the law requires it before a new optional use begins.
An upcoming feature described on the website does not mean its data processing is already active. If a new feature uses a materially different category of data or purpose, its notice should explain that use at the point of activation. The Customer Privacy and Provider Privacy pages provide additional role-specific information and should be read with this policy.
Privacy questions, grievances, and escalation
Email partner@perfectstitch.online for a privacy question, access request, correction, consent withdrawal, deletion request, or complaint. Use a clear subject such as 'Privacy request' or 'Privacy complaint', describe the concern and desired action, and provide only enough account or order information to locate the relevant records.
If an earlier response has not resolved your concern, reply to the same correspondence requesting escalation and include its reference or date. We will review the concern, seek necessary clarification, and respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements. General order, delivery, and workmanship issues can also be raised through in-app support where available.
This contact process does not prevent you from approaching a competent privacy authority, consumer body, or court where applicable law gives you that right. You can ask us for further information about the relevant complaint route. You do not need to agree to marketing or create a new account to raise a privacy grievance.
