Silk: dry-clean first, steam at home

Ari, zari, and silk need solvent, not a bucket. After the shop returns it, steam from the reverse side. Never wring.

Wool suiting: brush, rest, then steam

Brush after wear. Rest the jacket a day before the next outing. Steam, don’t iron the nap flat. Store on a shaped hanger.

Linen and khadi: wrinkle is the finish

Wash gentle, shake out, hang in shade. A light press on the seams is enough. Over-starching kills the hand of the cloth.
